Can I use Saya Skincare during pregnancy?
Consult your doctor first before using any product containing essential oils. You can use most of our products during pregnancy however note that using some essential oils may be advised to avoid during pregnancy.
Do you use preservatives in your products?
Natural antimicrobial peptide originally derived from lactic acid bacteria. Restricts the growth of micro-organisms.
Potassium sorbate is a mild, yet effective preservative. It is the potassium salt of sorbic acid. Potassium sorbate inhibits moulds, fungus and some bacteria. Therefore it is best used as a co-preservative. It as an alternative to parabens and it also works well in conjunction with other natural preservatives.
Is an effective agent for the prevention of fermentation. Therefore it is a key component in our preservative system. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid, which means the hydroxy part of the molecule is separated from the acid part by two carbon atoms, as opposed to an alpha hydroxy acid.
Sorbic acid and its salts, such as sodium sorbate and potassium sorbate are antimicrobial agents often used as preservatives in food and drinks to prevent the growth of mold, yeast, and fungi. In general the salts are preferred over the acid form because they are more soluble in water, but the active form is the acid.
Potassium Sorbate is the potassium salt of Sorbic Acid. Sorbic Acid and Potassium Sorbate function as preservatives and antimicrobial agents.
What is used to fragrance the products?
We use a wide range of very high quality and most are Organic 100% Natural Essential oils. These Essential oils not only provide a beautiful fragrance to the product they also carry powerful therapeutic properties.
Our Body custards contain fragrance. Fragrance or Fragrant oils carry no therapeutic properties at all they are a synthetic ingredient that provides only a strong fragrance and used at a very low percentage generally 1% to achieve a strong scent. Frangipani Body Custard has a blend of Fragrant oil and 100% natural Frangipani Essential oil. Coconut custard only has fragrant oil.
Do your products contain parabens?
No. Parabens are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Parabens are effective preservatives in many types of formulas. These compounds, and their salts, are used primarily for their bactericidal and fungicidal properties. Parabens are esters of para-hydroxybenzoic acid, from which the name is derived. Common parabens include methylparaben (E number E218), ethylparaben (E214), propylparaben (E216) and butylparaben. Less common parabens include isobutylparaben, isopropylparaben, benzylparaben and their sodium salts. A huge percentage of the products you buy for everyday use contain some form of paraben, so it can be difficult to find products that do not use them. Saya products do not contain chemical preservatives called parabens—methyl, propyl, butyl and ethyl (alkyl-p-hydroxybenzoates). Numerous studies show exposure displayed estrogenic activity which means that these chemicals mimic your body´s own hormones and can have endocrine-disrupting action when they are rubbed into your body or washed down the drain into your drinking water. These disruptors interfere with your body´s endocrine system: your hypothalamus, your ovaries, your thyroid—virtually every system in your body. Saya products use only naturally derived preservatives and antioxidants to help preserve and protect each product from bacterial, fungicidal, oxidative properties.
Do Saya products contain animal derived ingredients? Are they suitable for vegans?
Saya products do not contain animal derived ingredients and are strongly against using any animal derived or animal tested ingredients in any of our products. Saya products contain plant derived ingredients and are suitable for vegans.
Are Saya products tested on animals?
No. Saya is strongly against the use of animal derived ingredients and using ingredients that has been laboratory tested on animals. We are also against using ingredients that have a negative impact on the environment. We are certified with Choose Cruelty Free.
Do any of your products contain a SPF?
Saya products do not carry a sun protection factor. We advise to use either zinc or a sun lotion with a minimum SPF30+ when exposed to the sun.
I have coloured treated hair, can I use Saya shampoos and conditioners?
Yes, our hair care range is ideal for colour treated hair as it is very gentle on the hair and helps to maintain colour and restore lustre.
How long do Saya products last once opened?
We recommend using each product within 6 months of opening for our moisturising creams, cleansers, lotions and body custards. Body Products have a 12 month shelf life from opening.
How do I order my products on-line?
Click on the products you wish to order, select the quantity then click on “add to cart”. You can add more of the same item by clicking on “add more” or if you wish to continue shopping click on “continue shopping”. When you have completed your order click on “go to checkout”. You will be taken to the Payment detail page where you select payment method and where you can create an account with us by filling in your details.
Do I have to pay use Paypal?
If you do not wish to finalise your online order with Paypal you can simply phone us and make payment with credit card. We accept Visa or Mastercard.

How much does Postage & Handling cost?
Saya Skincare charges a one-off $10 flat fee for all postage and handling throughout Australia. For orders $100+ within Australia, postage is FREE. We are now shipping worldwide with Australia Post. Shipping will be calculated at checkout.
International Shipping Disclaimer
International customers must pay applicable sales tax, duties and customs charges which are determined by your local government and vary by country. Duties, taxes and/or customs fees will be an additional amount collected upon delivery of your order. Saya has no liability to cover these charges. We are unable to provide you with the exact amount of the charges as we are not aware what these may be. Your order confirmation details show only the amount collected by Saya Skincare, please contact your local government for specific details. By completing your order you agree to pay all applicable fees. If you refuse or return your order no international shipping charges or fees paid to local government will be refunded.
International Orders are shipped via method selected at checkout. Delivery time vary but are estimated at 7-14 business days for Priority, depending on your country's customs regulations and procedures. If you don't receive your package within several weeks, check with your local post office and local customs office as they could be holding your package for payment of duties.
How long will it take for my order to be processed/delivered?
Orders are usually dispatched on the day of order if orders are made by 2pm. Delivery times can be expected to take 1-5 working days. International orders can take up to 10 working days for priority.
What is your return policy if the products don’t suit?
We pride ourselves on providing the highest of customer satisfaction. If there are any discrepancies with orders we do offer full refunds or replacements. This can be resolved by phoning us directly at our Noosa retail outlet on 07 5473 0257. In these circumstances products must be returned within 10 days of delivery.
If my shipment arrived damaged, what should I do?

Can I cancel my order?
Yes, as long as it is on the day of order as we aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible.
