If there’s one thing we always make time for, it’s a ritual. And this one’s for the mothers and daughters — or really, any two women who need a moment to slow down and reconnect.
We’re all about skincare as ritual at Saya, but self-care doesn’t end at the bathroom mirror. So, in celebration of Mother’s Day, we’ve pulled together a list of our favourite local things to do that invite slowness, togetherness, and that feeling of “I’ll remember this.” Because gifts are lovely — but time together? That’s the one.
Here’s your Sunshine Coast guide to shared rituals, inspired by wellness and the women who raise us.
1. Soak, float, or spa — just book it already
Ikatan Spa, Doonan
If you haven’t tried this place already, put it at the top of your list. Tucked away in tropical gardens just out of Noosa, Ikatan is where time slows down. Book a massage for two, sip herbal tea afterwards, and forget the world for a while. This one feels like a proper gift.
TH7 BodyLab, Noosa
More recovery, less indulgence — in the best way. TH7 is where you go for infrared saunas, ice baths, and lymphatic compression. If your idea of wellness is more results-driven, this one’s a solid pick. Plus, the post-sauna glow is real.
Noosa Skin Studio
For something truly thoughtful, Noosa Skin Studio has created a Mother’s Day Glow & Gift Bundle — a 60-minute customised facial plus three beautiful skincare products to take home. It’s one of those experiences that feels both luxurious and deeply personal. You can book it for yourself and mum, or gift it as a certificate if you won’t be together on the day. A beautiful way to say thank you, with glow included.
2. Create something together
Frida’s or Pinot & Picasso, Noosa
If you’re after a fun night out, book into a sip & paint session. No art skills needed, just good vibes. It’s silly, light-hearted, and weirdly therapeutic. You’ll both leave with a canvas — and maybe some new inside jokes. The best part? They come to you!
The Spirit House Cooking School, Yandina
This is one of those iconic Sunshine Coast experiences that lives up to the hype. You cook in a glass-walled kitchen surrounded by tropical gardens, then sit down to eat what you’ve made. It's special, it’s delicious, and it makes for a great photo moment.
Jewellery Making at Perla Haus, Maroochydore
Perla Haus is calm, welcoming, and very Noosa in the best way. You can make something beautiful together — no experience needed — and leave with a keepsake that actually feels meaningful.
3. Eat well, talk lots
VanillaFood, Noosa
You know it, you love it. Fresh, bright, and beautifully styled — their chia puddings and GF banana bread have a cult following for a reason. Ideal for post-yoga or pre-spa.
Immune House, Noosaville
It’s new-ish, but already a local go-to. Think superfood smoothies, adaptogenic lattes, and bowls that taste as good as they look. It’s where wellness meets flavour without being try-hard.
Belmondos Organic Market, Noosa
More low-key, but great for a casual morning and beautiful food. Grab a coffee & croissant from Tanglewood Bakery, stock up on pantry goods, or pick out some skincare samples (just saying). It’s a whole vibe.

4. Get outside — always
Sunrise Walk, Noosa National Park
There’s something about walking from Little Cove to Hell’s Gates while the sun comes up that resets everything. Bonus points if you pack a thermos of tea or coffee and sit for a while after.
Beach Yoga with Noosa Beach Yoga
Flowing through sun salutations as the ocean hums in the background? Yes please. Perfect if you’re after something low-stress, grounding, and barefoot.
River Swim + Sunset Chai
This one’s DIY but always perfect. Head to the river for a sunset dip, grab a takeaway chai (Amo Gelato is our fav), and let that be your ritual. No booking required, just intention.
Because it’s never just about the plan
Mother’s Day isn’t about cramming in a big itinerary. It’s about the small, slow, quiet parts of it all. The morning light, the smell of tea, the shared laugh, the way someone reaches for your hand. If this list gives you even one idea that becomes a ritual — not just a moment — then it’s done its job.
And if you’re still looking for a beautiful gift that brings the ritual home, our Restorative Ritual Set is kind of perfect. But we’re a little biased.
