Beautiful skincare shouldn't cost the Earth.
Sustainability is not a chapter we added to the Saya story. It has been written into every page from the very beginning. From the way we source our ingredients to the way we pack and ship our orders, every decision we make is considered through the lens of our responsibility to this planet and the people on it. This is not about being perfect. It is about being intentional. And getting better every single day.
Our Commitment to the Planet
Manufacturing to the Highest Standard
Every Saya product is manufactured in Australia by distinguished manufacturers who operate to GMP, Good Manufacturing Practice, the highest standard of quality and safety in skincare production. Our manufacturing partners are located north of Noosa, keeping our production local, our supply chain transparent and our environmental footprint as small as possible.
Manufacturing locally means we maintain direct oversight of every formula we create. We know exactly how our products are made, under what conditions and to what standard. That level of visibility and trust is something we would never compromise on.
Certified Australian Made
Saya is proud to carry the Australian Made certification. The Australian Made logo is one of the most trusted and recognised symbols of quality in the world, guaranteeing that a product has been grown or manufactured in Australia to meet strict country of origin standards. For us it is more than a badge. It is a commitment to supporting local industry, local jobs and local communities and a promise to our customers that what they are using has been made right here at home, to the highest possible standard.
Sustainably Sourced from the Ground Up
Every ingredient in a Saya formula is chosen not only for its performance but for how it is sourced. We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that each ingredient meets our sustainability standards throughout the supply chain, and we seek certifications to verify this wherever possible.
Australian Native Botanicals - Advanced Extraction
Our native Australian botanical extracts are sourced through the most advanced and specialised extraction processes available. We work with leading suppliers who use cutting-edge technology to extract and preserve the living bioactive compounds within each botanical, ensuring they remain potent and effective within our formulas.
These suppliers work directly with the farmers and harvesters who cultivate and wild-harvest these extraordinary plants, ensuring ethical practices and sustainable management of the natural landscape from the very source.
Certified Organic
We are proud to hold certification under the COSMOS Organic standard, verified by Australian Certified Organic (ACO) for select products in the Saya range.
What is ACO? Australian Certified Organic is Australia's largest and most trusted certifier of organic and biodynamic products. ACO certification guarantees that a product has been independently verified to meet strict organic standards across ingredients, processing and manufacturing.
What is COSMOS? COSMOS is the globally recognised standard for organic and natural cosmetics. A product certified under COSMOS Organic must meet rigorous criteria including a minimum percentage of organic ingredients, prohibition of synthetic chemicals and pesticides, and environmentally responsible manufacturing and packaging practices. It is one of the most respected and credible certifications in the clean beauty industry. Not every Saya product carries the COSMOS ACO certification, however every product across our entire range is formulated to the same clean, conscious standard. Free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances and anything we would not feel completely comfortable using ourselves.
Vegan and Cruelty-Free
Every Saya formula is 100% vegan. We use no animal-derived ingredients across our entire range and we never test on animals at any stage of development or production. This has been a non-negotiable from day one and it always will be.
Rethinking Every Material
Packaging is one of the most significant environmental challenges in the beauty industry. We take it seriously and we are committed to making the most responsible choices available to us at every level.
Recycled PET Plastic (RPET)
Where plastic is required, we use bottles made from 50% to 80% post-consumer recycled plastic. This means the plastic in our bottles has already lived a previous life, diverting it from landfill and reducing the demand for virgin plastic production. We do not use virgin plastic. Every bottle across our range is fully recyclable.
We are conscious that glass is not always the most practical choice for products used daily in the bathroom, where safety and ease of use genuinely matter. Where we can use glass, we do. Our serums and select moisturisers are housed in glass packaging, which is infinitely recyclable and a premium, considered choice for products used in smaller quantities.
Aluminium Tubes
We use aluminium tubes for select products across the range, including our Cleansing Balm and AHA Micro Exfoliant. Aluminium is one of the most sustainably sound packaging materials available. It is infinitely recyclable without any degradation in quality, lightweight to reduce transport emissions, and far more environmentally responsible than single-use plastic over its lifetime.
Recycled Paper Cartons and Eco Inks
All Saya carton boxes are made from 100% recycled paper and printed using eco-friendly inks that minimise harmful chemicals in the production and disposal process.
We believe the most sustainable product is the one you refill rather than replace. At our Noosa studio, customers can refill their Saya bottles in store and save 25%, a simple, genuine way to reduce packaging waste without compromising on the products you love.
We have extended this program further by supplying luxury hotels, wellness spaces and private properties with our products in bulk refill format for their guest amenities. Rather than single-use miniatures, their guests experience the full Saya ritual with a fraction of the packaging impact. It is a better experience and a better outcome for the planet.
Packed and Shipped from Our Own Home
Saya operates its own warehouse where we pack and distribute every order ourselves. This means shorter transit distances, reduced handling, and lower overall emissions compared to outsourcing fulfilment to third-party logistics providers. It also means every order that leaves our door has been packed with care by our own team.
Local First
Wherever possible we source locally. From our manufacturing partners north of Noosa to our packaging suppliers, we prioritise Australian-made and Australian-sourced options to support local industry and reduce the carbon footprint associated with international freight and long supply chains.
