Today, we'd love to share with you steps that we're taking as a brand, to recognise our environmental responsibility and promote sustainability. At Saya Skincare, we believe that it is our duty to take meaningful action towards creating a cleaner and healthier planet. That's why we're excited to highlight the steps we've taken to reduce our environmental impact and footprint.

50% PCR, Glass & Bioplastic Product Packaging

At Saya Skincare, we understand the importance of reducing our carbon footprint and using sustainable materials in our products. That is why we have made the switch from traditional plastic packaging to 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, glass and sugar-cane packaging. This move significantly reduces our reliance on non-renewable resources and helps reduce waste in landfills. Moreover, we have also switched from soft plastic labelling to screenprinting, further reducing our environmental impact, and making recycling easier for our customers. 

FSC Certified Cardboard

We take pride in sourcing only the best materials that are kind to the environment. That is why all our cardboard box packaging and shipping boxes are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. This certification ensures that the paper material used in our packaging are sourced responsibly, without harming the environment or the people who depend on it.

Composting at our HQ

One of the most effective ways to reduce food waste is through composting. At Saya Skincare, we have implemented an in-house composting system that turns food waste into nutrient-rich compost for our garden. This practice not only reduces our waste output but also provides a natural and sustainable way to fertilise our plants. Our Warehouse Manager, Neve, manages this system and ensures all compostable waste is utilised from the staff. Everyone is free to take the compost home for their own gardens!

ACO Certified 

All our skincare products are certified by the Australian Certified Organic (ACO) standard, which means they are made using only organic and natural ingredients. This certification ensures that our products are safe for the environment, free from harmful chemicals, and promote sustainable farming practices.

Australian Made

We are a proudly Australian-made skincare brand. By producing our products locally, we support the Australian economy and reduce our carbon footprint by minimising transportation emissions. Moreover, we ensure that all our suppliers and manufacturing partners comply with our strict sustainability standards, ensuring that our entire supply chain is ethical and eco-friendly.
